AAPL continues to outperform the market, beat analyst targets and release a myriad of products and services that become hits. Fundamentally their share of Mac(OS) is steadily increasing, benefitting from the halo effect of iPod/iPhone

I think Apple will do well over the next 12 months. Good company and the overall market is very depressed right now , any recovery should take the stock up. However to the person who said "Apple is replacing the PC", that will never happen. For one Apples are much more expensive. And two, gaming is huge and most computer games are made only for PC (Mac gets a few but not significant amount). So PC is here to stay. As is Apple IMO but don't expect it to make the IBM PC obsolete

Apple has astounded me in recent years. Just when you think the Steve Jobs onslaught is over, he taps into his creative genius and surprises us with Apple development we could never forsee. I have faith that his knowledge reservoir has not dried up yet. Plus, new iPhone is coming out, and the first generation has done well. I don't know how all this 'stock' business works yet, but investing in a promising executive seems like the smart path.

Recently release news that they plan on producing there own cpu chips for the ipod and iphone and won't be buy from Intel an samsung any, so basically they are going to competing against the major chip makers. Their R&D expenses is going to be immense and its going to take at least a couple of years for them to make decent chips that will be able to compete with Intel and Samsung, not to mention the addition competition since Intel and Samsung will just sell there chips to someone else.
