Look, it's Microsoft. You can't go wrong in the long term. It is trading near a 52 week low, and is immensely undervalued. Large moat.

I'm fairly pessimistic about Microsoft. The release of Windows Vista is so far unpopular, giving users features that they do not necessarily need. The OS itself is admittedly more stable than XP, though its overall performance is not matched by its predecessor. Although the company has taken numerous attempts/actions to improve itself (ex. trying to buy Yahoo to compete with Google over the internet advertisement/search engine industry), the actions they have taken so far has only made its faults more imminent. (In other words, the negotiations with Yahoo had made it obvious that it had acknowledged Google as a greater giant.) I will expect my holdings in Microsoft to falter in the next couple quarters, though I hope that the competition will press Microsoft to learn from other companies (of the same industry) to make wiser and more innovative decisions in the long-run.
